Sunshine turns two today! It's almost hard to believe all that the past two years have brought. What does one say about them? I browsed through some of the pictures on my computer and found myself smiling at memories I'd forgotten—and at how much she's changed. Every day she seems to learn more; new words that she's trying to say, new things that she's observed and wants to try. Sometimes I think of what it will be like to have a newborn when we've gotten used to an independent two-year-old who can feed herself, picks her own clothes, and is doing really well with potty training. Happy birthday Sunshine! I remember the day you were born, when your birth was announced with a casual phone call. Your mom was such a pro. It's been fun to watch you grow!

ReplyDeleteEileen - thanks. We spent most of the day helping my grandparents move, but did have a birthday celebration at the end of that.
Nat - yeah, I'm feeling much more prepared for Number 2 than I was for Sunshine's birth. I kept thinking the second one would be easier because I'd know what to expect. :)
